Trimming videos is an essential feature for refining your recorded content and making your videos crisp. Whether you want to remove unnecessary introductions, cut out mistakes, or shorten the recording to focus on key segments, trimming ensures your videos are polished and concise.
How to trim a video
Navigate to the Edit page for the recorded video from the sidenav.

Select Trim option from editor the dropdown.

Trim the video from the start or the end by dragging and using the sliders.
Click on the Trim button once you are done trimming.
An alert popup shows up confirming your changes. You can specify the exact timestamps if needed and then confirm the trim operation by clicking on Trim button.
The video will get trimmed and the page will auto-reload once the trim is done.
Processing time
Processing the trimming operation depends on the video size. Longer videos may take more time to process.
Transcript, summary and chapters are not automatically updated
Transcript and chapters will not automatically update after trimming. You can regenerate them by going to their respective pages from the sidenav.
Summary wont be updated automatically. You can edit the summary manually if needed.
