NeetoRecord can pull the action items out of a recording so that anyone watching can see what needs to be done — and jump straight to the moment in the video where each one was mentioned. Instead of watching a recorded meeting or walkthrough with a notepad open, you get the action items already tied to the video.
Action items appear in the Action items tab in the sidebar of the public recording page, alongside Comments and Transcript. Each action item is a short task with a timestamp, shows up as a marker on the video's progress bar, and can be checked off as it gets done.
Action items are personal to each viewer. Everyone who opens the recording starts from the same AI-generated list, but from there the list is theirs alone. Whatever you check off, add, edit, or delete is visible only to you — nobody else watching the same recording sees your changes, and their action items are unaffected.
Generating action items with AI
Open the recording and go to the Action items tab.
Click Generate with AI.
NeetoRecord scans the transcript and extracts the action items mentioned in the recording
Only real action items are picked up — discussion points and decisions are skipped. Action items are listed in the order they come up in the video.
If the recording has no transcript, AI generation is not possible. You can still add action items manually.
Adding, editing, and deleting action items
Adding an action item
Play the video up to the moment you want the action item pinned to.
Click the + button at the top of the Action items tab.
Type the action item.
Press Enter, or click the tick, to save it..
The action item is added to the list in timestamp order, and its marker appears on the progress bar.
Editing an action item
Hover over the action item and click the three-dot menu.
Select Edit. The video pauses and the text becomes editable.
Change the text, then press Enter or click the tick to save.
To move an action item to a different moment, seek the video to that moment while you are editing — the timestamp follows the video and is saved along with your changes.
Deleting an action item
Hover over the action item and click the three-dot menu.
Select Delete.
Action items you add, edit, or delete are saved in your own browser for the current session. They are personal to you — other viewers of the same recording continue to see the generated list.
